I would like to thank Ms. Sylwia Paszkowska for hosting us on Radio Kraków during the "Before the Hejnałem" broadcast, where, together with Zofia Hyjek and Anna Kaseja, I had the pleasure of talking about our exhibition.

The collective exhibition entitled “A Strong, Lasting Marriage” presents the works of five artists: Natalia Fundowicz, Zofia Hyjek, Anna Kaseja, Natalia Legutko and Paulina Niemczyk. Ten years ago, the same group had the opportunity to present their works at the Norwid Culture Centre. At that time, they were connected by a student bond, as they had both graduated in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. Over time, however, life took over – moving, families, work and lack of time drove them apart, almost like in a “real marriage”.
We call the ten-year marriage anniversary a tin anniversary, symbolising a “strong, lasting marriage”. Although the artists were once closely connected, their paths have now diverged. The exhibition aims to bring their work closer together again – each artist will present her current works, very diverse, from Paulina Niemczyk’s abstraction to Zofia Hyjek’s surrealism. Despite the passage of time, art still plays an important role in their lives.
The exhibition can be viewed from 25 October to 27 November 2024.

HERSTORY PROJECT
My solo exhibition, 26.01-1.02.2024, Warsaw
On January 27, I am pleased to invite you to the opening of my individual exhibition from the series "Closer to Art: Fleetingness" at Desa Unicum. Young Art, at ul. Piękna 1a in Warsaw.
The event will last from January 26 to February 1, and on Saturday, January 27, at 1 p.m. there will be a meeting with me, during which I will show you around the exhibition and you will be able to talk about whatever you want.
The work for the Herstory project was created very naturally, as it fits perfectly both aesthetically and thematically into the art I have been creating for years. I am most often inspired by silhouettes of women from old photographs and everything associated with femininity. I see strength, determination, extraordinary sensitivity, beauty, movement, life in them. I mainly present them in the form of an act, because there I find the forms I need to express them most fully. I could easily be inspired by almost any of the selected heroines, but I chose Maria Kwaśniewska, whose herstory was extremely impressive. She achieved a lot professionally, was a very talented athlete, and later devoted her life to helping people during the war. She returned to a country that was occupied and showed great courage. I wanted to present the figure of Maria Kwaśniewska in a nude form that is close to my heart, but in a narrow, almost monochromatic range of colors that brought to mind old photos. The pose is proud and brave, like a monument that all Herstory heroines deserve.
